About Yana Bachynsky Marriage and Family Therapy & me
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and psychotherapist practicing in San Diego and via telehealth throughout CA. As a therapist, I value authenticity, establishing trust in communication, resolving conflict in relationships and developing resilience in transitions. I believe in perseverance and the human capacity to heal from trauma and grow no matter the circumstances.
I have experience in providing therapy for 15 years, including work with couples, teens and young adults, counseling individuals impacted by anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use, parenting issues, women that are pregnant and postpartum and families.
At the age of 16, I arrived to America from Russia as a refugee immigrant. I am bilingual in English and Russian​. I earned a Bachelor's in Psychology with minors in Religious Studies and Communication. I graduated from SDSU with Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling.
​In my free time, I enjoy hiking, journaling, traveling, reading, interior design/organization. I spend time with my Catholic faith community. I am married with 3 children. I am passionate about helping people understand themselves better and find healing. Life is meant to be lived, and I look forward to being a part of your journey.
